Name: Gaenor Byron Maydell Blood: Pureblood Age: Year: Graduate House: Slytherin Pet: owl Wand: 11 inches, dragon’s heartstring, chestnut
Physical Description: Gaenor stands easily at 6’ being nicely fit from occasional quidditch games with his friends, even though he doesn’t participate in the sport regularly. She has naturally wavy brown hair and matching dark-brown eyes. A strong nose, high forehead and sharp jaw-line are all present giving Gaenor a sort of masculine attraction.
Biography: Gaenor is the only heir to an old and respected pureblooded family and he is proud of this inheritance. He was a long awaited child to her parents. He was born on the 26th November, which in itself is a dreary month, but the birth was difficult. St. Mungo’s healers were unable to do much as Gaenor’s mother insisted on giving birth in the family manor so his mother became infertile after the birth of her first and only son. This shook Gaenor’s mother deeply and in a lot of way caused Gaenor to be spoiled by her more than usual. For example Gaenor’s mother refused to let his son be raised by nannies and keepers, preferring to stay home and care for her son herself. This created a very close bond between Gaenor and his mother that lasted until her mother fell sick and eight months later died because of cancer when Gaenor was fourteen.
The loss had a huge impact on the life Gaenor and his father. While Gaenor respects his father, the two don’t meet very often. Gaenor’s father took to traveling all the more to advance the family’s business. Gaenor supposes that it helps his father keep his mind occupied so as not to think of his dead wife. Gaenor himself lives in the old family manor with his grandfather, who is already over 80, but is still as willful as ever. He is rather rough guy, the only words he ever speaks being orders as he glares at you from under his thick bushy eye-brows that have already grown white with age. Gaenor doesn’t mind this much however as his grandfather’s actions have shown more than once that the old man cares deeply about his grandson, even as he puts great hopes and expectations on Gaenor, who has to carry on the bloodline.
Curiously enough Gaenor’s family is almost opposing lord Voldemort, despite Gaenor’s father and Gaenor and his grandfather all having been in Slytherin. His father, who spends most of the year out of country doesn’t really know much about Voldemort, but Gaenor’s grand-father is harshly opposing lord Voldemort. His grandfather dislikes the Ministry too, but seems to have the opinion that at least the bureaucratic can be kept in line. Gaenor himself isn’t completely sure as to what brought on this opinion in his grandfather, but suspects that it has something to do with the suspicious death of his uncle, who was killed during lord Voldemort’s first reign of power.
Gaenor himself is a rather complex character. He is very stoic and takes his time with everything, make it very hard for others to read what he’s thinking. And he’s also as stubborn as a mule and picks his friends and associates very carefully, not allowing any mudbloods in the small circle of friends he has. While he doesn’t exactly believe that mudbloods and half-bloods are vermin, who should be destroyed, Gaenor loathes them, thinking them as incompetent fools who sometimes provide free entertainment. While bidding his time he can react very harshly and quickly when so not many people cross his path, especially not so as the seventh year Slytherin can hardly be called dumbwitted either. Now, after graduation, he has taken over the family business.

Name: Kris Faolan Graas
Blood: Pure
Age:
Year: Graduate
House: Slytherin
Pet: a dark-brown owl called Mulciber and a black over-protective kitten named Morrigan
Wand: 11 inches, dragon’s heart-string, juniper
Physical Description: Kris has a muscular build from a lot of activities, a slightly tanned skin coming from his Italian parents, longer black hair, which is always pulled into a loose pony-tail. A sharply and strongly shaped face. Kris isn't too tall, but she can't be called short either, as he is 6' tall. Kris used to have sharp green eyes, until he was hit with a blinding curse this year. The curse made a black cover appear on his eyes that won't let anything passt it's surface so Kris is never seen without sunglasses anymore.
Biography: Kris is a part of the Graas family - a very wealthy and old pureblooded family, originally living in Italy and France. Kris can follow his family-tree up to the 13th century and he’s proud of the fact.
Kris was never close with her mother. Dressing up, wearing tie and proper clothes was always pure torture for a young boy as he only had to go, drink tea politely and nod to everything her mother said. Perhaps that was the reason why Kris never missed his mother, when she was killed, while Kris was still at the age of 5. He never even had a nightmare, despite the fact her mother was killed under the young boys eyes. Her mother had relatives for visitors and an argument rose. One of the relatives exploded in anger and killed Kris’s mother before going crazy herself.
Kris’s father is a completely different problem. He taught Kris to ride horses, care for animals, throw a knife, romp and survive in forest, swim, play guitar, carve, how to use his wand – his father was a kind man who would have given anything for his son. Kris had trouble sleeping for years after his father murder. His father was murdered – or discovered dead – in a muggle district with no information why he was there. Aurors guessed it might have been a rob-murder as Kris’s father money was gone, but no one knows for sure. Kris however has sworn to kill the murderer(s) of his father one day.
Since then he went under the care of her distant relatives – Meredith and Julien Graas, even though he spends his summer in Italy, living with his servants and house-elves in a mansion he inherited from his father or traveling. He has complete control over his parents fortune though, despite his legal guardians exist. He had spent some time with them earlier as well, and he was brought up thinking of Meredith’s and Julien’s granddaughter Dana as a sister. Kris and Dana are close friends and for each other really more as a sister and brother rather than just cousins. At Hogwarts they both met Mary Evans and soon the younger girl became close as well. For Kris she is like a younger sister also.
Kris has a VERY hard character to deal with and he can be called somewhat of a loner. The one thing that brings out the soft and better side of him are animals. And Kris has always had an absolutely amazing contact with animals. Spending a month at a dragon-tamer month once, Kris’s life was even spared by the dragon. A female dragon went wild with pain and recklessly Kris stepped into the meadow where the dragon was kept. The dragon attacked, pushing the boy onto his back effortlessly and cutting four deep slashes at his left side with her claws. Only then did the dragon calm for a reason and she just lowered her leg and locked her eyes with Kris’s. A few moments later Kris had been pushed into his feet and out of the meadow where terrified dragon tamers took care of his wounds while no one could guess the reasons behind the dragons reaction. But the dragon was the finally turning point that let Kris accept the death of his beloved father.
He has a sharp mind, making him able to compete with Ravenclws easily, however most often he prefers to skip classes. There is never a doubt that Slytherin suits him best however, even when he doesn’t always bother with all the Slytherin ‘morals’. His easy-going and relaxed attitude as well as the ease with what he joins into conversations makes it up nicely for it however.
Returning to Hogwarts for his 6th school-year Kris threw all caution to the wind and blocked the curse sent flying towards Dana himself when Death Eaters attacked the Hogwarts Express. Kris broke a number of bones, had a concussion and lost a lot of blood from severe glass-cuts, but he survived and after 15 long days of being in a coma woke again only to discover he would be blind for the rest of his life. It took about a month or two, but Kris puleld himself out form the black whole of misery he fell into - even though he spent the time wreaking havoc on the whole school. But he does have something bright to fill his days now. A rather firey 5th year Ravenclaw who Kris is rather fond of, despite hteir regular arguements and unauthorized duels in the hallways. By now they have 6 children – 4 sons and 2 daughters – spread evenly between Slytherina nd Ravenclaw and are a loving couple and parents.

Full name: Dana Gayle Cynthia Coran Family lineage: Pureblood House: Ravenclaw Year: Graduate Wand: 10 inches, phoenix feather and white willow.
Appearance: Dana got all her looks from her mother. She has jet-black hair, that reaches her shoulder-blades . The style looks great with her somewhat pixie-face.. She has big grayish-blue eyes – the only feature she got from her father. She is relatively tall and thanks to swimming and dancing as well as other physical activities she is in a good shape and looks very good. Dana reached her growth rather early and is rather tall for her age, standing a total of 5 feet 6 inches. Added to he heels Dana loves to wear, that makes her taller than a lot of guys. Being as self-confident as Dana is, she isn't really bothered by the fact though.
Personality: Dana is a smart girl, with a strong will-power. She isn’t very shy and loves meeting new people. In need she is the best friend, who won’t back out no matter what, yet she can retaliate rather harshly if you wound her or her friends. She is an independent individual, who knows what she is worth, who is extremely hard to insult. She also is fluent with many languages and knows a lot of the more important wizards all over the world, as she often accompanies her grand-parents to formal gatherings when she doesn’t have school. Dana is also fairly active – she can be found outside doing some sport or socializing or just doing anything active as often as found with her nose in a book.
Personal history so far: Dana was born on 5th May. Her mother died during labor after having run off with Dana's father for some reason, as even though her parents didn't approve Dana's mother's choice of husband, they would not have stood in the way of the wedding. Dana wasn’t very close to her father, who was an army sergeant, so she wasn’t very heart-broken when her father died at duty when she was 5. Dana and everybody else believed Dana was a half-blood up to Dana's 15th birthday. Then it was accidentally discovered by pictures, news and archives that Dana's father was actually a squib from a poor Swedish pure-blooded family, that didn't have any more members left besides James Coran - Dana's father. The discovery is still new for Dana, even though it hasn't changed her behavior, character nor has it actually had san influence on her life, besides surprising her a little.
Dana lives with her grand-parents – Meredith and Julian Graas - from her mother’s side and is very close with both of them. Her grand-parents are rather wealthy, as they have stock in both muggle world and they own a book stores in France and Italy, so money isn’t really an issue for them. Julien has also just recently won the election in France and is now the new Minister of Magic in the country for the coming 4 years at least.
As her grand-parents wanted Dana to go to Hogwarts like her mother, they bought an apartment in muggle London, although only Dana lives there from time to time with Meredith and Julien residing at their mansion near Paris or at their beach-house. Dana also has a cousin going to Hogwarts, as Meredith and Julien are his legal guardians. Kris is a Slytherin, but the two relatives are still very close, being brought up as sister and brother rather than cousins. Thing weren’t meant to be perfect for all eternity however. In the beginning of Dana’s 5th year, Kris was blinded when he chose to protect Dana from a death eaters curse with his own body. While Kris got over it Dana still feels a bit of guilt over it, even if he hides it well. The difficulties of the year didn’t end there for Dana that year. In January her grandparents died and Kris became his legal guardian until Dana turns 17 herself and in the end of the year Death Eaters attacked Hogwarts. Almost instinctively using a spell to fight back to a death eater holding a much younger friend under Crucio, Dana was placed under Imperio herself and forced to strangle a friend with a spell. While she was snapped out of it – and the death eater was killed – the memory took it’s toll on the girl. Dana broke her wand and fled Hogwarts, only to return after 2 weeks, stronger than ever before… yet a bit broken inside, even if almost no one seems to understand that as she has always been a good actress. Now after graduation she has taken over the family book-stores she inherited.

Name: Cleo Rehaia Graas Blood: Pureblood Age: Year: Graduate House: Ravenclaw Pet: none Wand: 11 inches, dragon’s heart-string, ash
Physical Description: Cleo has shoulder-length goldish-reddish-brown hair. Her hair was natural stripes and strands of hair, making it bright and eye-catching. She has big brown eyes with small golden spots in them. Cleo has an almost sharp saw and cheek-bones and over-all she has a small and cute face. Not overly beautiful, but all together attractive in a way. She also has a small scar high on her right cheek-bone. Cleo is 5’7 and is very slim and lean. She isn’t the model-type, nor someone you’d look after on a street, but she is lively and in shape, giving him attraction only youth and health can bring. You wouldn’t look after her at first glance, but on second glance you’d say that she’s a pretty girl. Not ordinarily beautiful, but pretty in her own unique way.
Biography: Cleo has never known her parents. They weren’t married. Upon discovering Hespera – Cleo’s mother – had gotten pregnant and therefore they locked her into her rooms in the family manor. Hespera gave birth to Cleo 6 months later, however she died at childbirth after whispering the name she wanted to Cleo to have. Cleo doesn’t know who his father was. She doesn’t know his name, what he looks like or who he is/was. Hespera’s parents don’t know Cleo’s father either. The only thing Cleo does know is that his father was a pure-blood with his first name starting with the letter D and that he was a pure-blood. Cleo has never cared to find her father either. She figures that if the guy didn’t care about her mother, knowing she pregnant, nor about her, then why would she have to care about him?
Cleo wasn’t a nice child. She was nosy, loud, tom boyish – always climbing trees and being outside, and never hesitating to ask something and not caring who she asked it from. She had a sharp tongue too, so her grandparents, who didn’t like the illegally born child anyway, often punished her. Nothing too severe – missing an eating-time or two, washing or polishing something or being locked away in her room. Cleo learned a valuable lesson from it though – she learned to not get caught. Trouble’s with Cleo went further than that however. Maybe it was an act of rebellion, maybe a cry for attention. But Cleo tried to shoplift, pickpocket. She wasn’t any good at it – she was caught and it brought on huge troubles with her grand-parents. So Cleo’s days as thief were put into past. Even though she did receive the scar on her face during one of her punishments for shoplifting.
Along with all of her extra-curriculum activities Cleo was raised properly. She can dance, talk, knows history and politics. She likes to read as well and has a sharp mind. Cleo doesn’t have very many friends however. Mainly because of her temper. She’s gets angry quickly and even though her anger settle quickly, she can snap at people very easily. She still has a sharp tongue and biting comments too. Below the hard outwards appearance is a soft heart though. Cleo adores little children and animals. She isn’t shy and she’s most certainly an extrovert. She wonders around alone most of the time however – due to her character that doesn’t let people befriend her very easily. Cleo has a relatively nice singing voice – it hasn’t been schooled and she most certainly doesn’t have enough talent to a professional singer one day, but she can handle a lullaby easily. She can draw tolerably as well. Once again – she only has mediocre talent at it, but you can recognize the things on her drawings as well as the persons on the portraits she has drawn.
In Hogwarts Cleo likes to wonder around alone. She often seeks the solitude of abandoned and secret rooms, therefore knowing the school castle relatively well. Due to learning much – as she has free time to spare – she has good marks. Being bright doesn’t hurt either naturally. Cleo is absolutely horrifying in Potions however. She has never had any talent at it and Transfiguration isn’t her forte either. As for Arithmancy, Ancient Runes and anything to do with logic and numbers – that Cleo excels in.
Just this year brought on yet an other twist for the fire-ball Ravenclaw. She met Kris Graas and both being in a bad mood a duel grew out of the meeting. A duel that seemed to last for the whole as the two almost sought out of each others company after the first meetings. The foughts were qualmed very firmly when Kris suddenly proposed. Or not even proposed but rather stated that he wanted Cleo to be his wife so the two got married, becoming almost soul-mates and best friends. By now they have 6 children – 4 sons and 2 daughters – spread evenly between Slytherina nd Ravenclaw and are a loving couple and parents.

Post by Adrian Hollows on Jun 10, 2008 10:02:41 GMT -5
Name: Adrian Sean Hollows. Blood: Pure. Age: 22 Year: Graduate House: Slytherin Pet: A black owl, Castor. Wand: 12 inch, yew, dragon heart string
Physical Description: Adrian has short dark brown hair that many people mistake for black. His eyes are a clear, steady brown that almost never show the hot temper hidden inside him. Adrian is fairly tall for his age but slightly thinner than the average 22 year old male due to his athletic lifestyle.
Biography: Adrian Hollows was an only child for the first four years of his life until one night, his parents arrived home with his baby sister in their arms. It was something resembling love at first sight as Adrian immediately vowed to take care of his younger sister and to protect her with his life. Unlike most parents of Slytherins, Adrian's parents don't really support the Dark Lords actions although they agreed with the motive behind his actions. Now, although not supporting Voldemort wouldn't mean a lot to most people, especially those not in Slytherin, it made a great impact on Adrian's life and personality.
The Hollows showered their son with love and attention, giving him an extensive amount of freedom until his sixth birthday. A week after Adrian's sixth birthday, his father started to train Adrian in the ways of the wizarding world. Adrian was taught about Hogwarts, the spells he would learn there and, above all, the rivalry between all the houses. His father, Alaric Hollows, was in charge of teaching Adrian while Adrian's mother, Morganna, took care of their daughter. Other than the general information about Hogwarts, Alaric taught his son a small amount of the few subjects that didn't involve wands; Potions, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes along with Herbology. Adrian's parents wanted him to have the best traits of all four houses; cunning, loyalty, bravery and intelligence, as they were both Ravenclaws and don't have a particular prejudice against any of the houses.
When Adrian's younger sister, Litana, turned six she received mostly the same teachings as Adrian but was taught by Morganna. As the siblings grew up, they remained close but were separated by their differences in personality. Adrian is closed off and can hide his emotions easily but when he becomes angered by something, the temper that he tries so hard to hide gets loose. Adrian generally has very good control of his temper, turning it from a bubbling inferno to an ice cold glacier that he can easily ignore. The early teaching that he received did little to interest Adrian in any of his lessons but provided him with the knowledge he needed to pass all of his first year classes easily. His second year however was rather different as Adrian actually had to study on a regular basis to pass his classes.
This meant that Adrian spent rather a lot of time in the library and he slowly began to enjoy the books around him. Not to the extent of a Ravenclaw, nothing could convince Adrian to spend all day in a library, but he was quite content to sit down with a book and ignore anyone who he didn't find important or interesting enough to listen to - basically, anyone not a Slytherin or very few Ravenclaws. Despite his parents attempts to banish any feelings of house rivalry in Adrian, he found very few Gryffindors worth talking to and even less Hufflepuffs. He tolerates Ravenclaws to an extent but the only house he can truly stand is his own.
His parents generally stopped caring about their son by the time he turned 15, something which Adrian accepted with surprisingly good grace. His parents had been Ravenclaws and he had turned into the stereotypical Slytherin in their eyes. They didn’t understand him, though they hardly understood his little sister any better, and he didn’t care to change himself just to regain what should have been an unconditional love from his parents.
After Hogwarts, Adrian took his inheritance and essentially cut himself off from his family, only keeping regular contact with Lita. At 22, he’s not as successful as he sees himself being in the future, but being the owner, and manager, of two flourishing bookshops (one in Diagon Alley and the other in Hogsmeade) and a popular restaurant in Hogsmeade isn’t such a bad start, in Adrian’s mind. The next step, although unwanted and indeed dreaded, is marriage and a child to pass down his businesses to. The single life suits Adrian but he isn’t foolish enough to think that he’ll life forever or that his sister would be a good person to pass over his businesses to. As much as he loves Lita, she’s not a business-minded person as of yet and, with the typical thoughts of an older brother to his baby sister, he can’t see that changing.

Post by Solitaire Keighley on Jun 10, 2008 15:11:36 GMT -5
Name: Solitaire Opal Keighley Blood: Pure Age: 18 Year: Graduate House: Hufflepuff Pet: A small grey colored tiny owl that she calls Apollo Wand: 8 ¼ inch, willow with a single unicorn tail hair core.
Physical Description: Solitaire stands about 5 foot 6 inches, with beautiful long, curly black hair, and deep dark brown eyes. She has a medium beige complexion and a pearly white smile, that only gets shown to her friends. Solitaire has a small build, and a very athletic appearance, even though she does not partake in any wizarding sports. She also has a few barely noticeable freckles in different areas across her face.
Personality: Although Solitaire tends to be very shy, and seemingly insecure, she has a rather high self-esteem, and is very self secure. She never seems to act it, but she knows she looks nice. She has never been the type to just walk up to a person and start talking. This comes from being taught that if a person wanted to get to know her they would approach her. She was taught to always have an air about her self that would not make someone afraid to come up to her though. She is a very proper young lady, whom has always taken a little pride in not only the way she appeals to the world, but also her heritage. She does take pride in being a pureblood wizard, although she never flaunts it like some wizards and witches. And despite her family’s placement of the importance of being pureblooded, Solitaire has learned that it is not always the blood that makes the witch or wizard, but the magic inside, and their personality. Solitaire is also very spoiled, although she has never let anyone see her act like the brat she is at home.
History:
May 6, 1983
Solitaire Opal was born to well known Vitalus and Arcadia Keighley at approximately 11 pm last night. She is the only child of the couple, and they are very pleased with the arrival of their beautiful baby girl.
This is just one of many newspaper clippings that can be found in the many scrapbooks of Solitaire Opal Kieghley, only child to Vitalus and Arcadia Keighley. Solitaire was born a normal witch’s daughter, with no complications, or signs that she would eventually grow up to like muggle hobbies such as scrap booking, and car racing. Her childhood was that of normal purebloods, being taken care of by her loving parents or the nanny they hired when they had important Ministry functions to attend.
Ever since Solitaire was old enough to look at the pictures in the papers, or in books, she has loved to collect them. Articles about her parents, or other members of her family, pictures of famous wizards, and witches, even wanted posters for those whom were being chased by the Ministry; it all found its way into her scrap books. She took time with each one being sure that she wouldn’t tear the pictures, or damage the articles in any way possible. As she grew so did her collection of already made scrap books.
She also grew up with a love of witchcraft, and would often sit and watch her parents with amazement. At the age of three, she began to try to copy their hand movements, as she would stare at what ever they were doing. By the time she was five, she had developed a bit of a yearning for wanting to learn how to do those magnificent things that she had gazed at her mother and father doing so very often. She had learned to read at an early age, and by the time she was seven, had already found her mothers old textbooks, and began to try to understand the techniques that were taught in them. She even eventually began to question her mother and father about what they were doing.
Solitaire would ask more of her mother than she would her father, about where they had went to school, and learned their magic. Her mother finally began to tell her of Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Arcadia told her of the different houses, and how the first year students were sorted into the different houses on their first night there, by something she called a “Sorting Hat.” Arcadia went into her library and brought out a book called Hogwarts: A History , and suggested that Solitaire read it when she had time. It would explain more about the school’s past. She took time to tell Taire, as she was called by her parents, about how the different houses would compete for what was called a House Cup. She even told Taire about the houses each having their own quidditch team, and competing against one another. Arcadia told Taire of the ghosts and the professors, and that each house had a Head of House. When Taire began to beg her mother to tell her more about the school, Arcadia replied for Taire to read the book she had given her, that it would tell her just about everything she could ask about Hogwarts. Arcadia did tell Taire that her most of her family had attended Hogwarts, and that most of them had been placed in Slytherin. The only exception known to them now, was Arcadia’s sister, Tigress; she had been placed in Hufflepuff. This lead Solitaire to believe that if she attended Hogwarts, then she would just have to be placed in Slytherin.
After Solitaire had learned all her mother would tell her, and all that the book had taught her, she recalled not hearing anything about her father attending Hogwarts as well. This aroused a curiosity in her, and she decided that she would finally gather the courage to ask him about it. Taire found her father in the study the day that she got the courage to ask him. She walked in to the room quietly, “Father, may I ask where you studied and learned magic?” To her surprise He had no trouble answering her. He told her of how he had been accepted to two different schools of magic, but that he had not been allowed to choose Hogwarts for his father did not approve of the headmaster. His father had in turn sent him to the second school that had accepted him, which had been called Durmstrang. He didn’t tell her anything about the school, just that he didn’t think it was the right school for her to go, if she got accepted to any of the magical schools. This made Taire worry that she might not get the chance to learn magic, and saddened her.
As time neared for her to begin school, she often found herself wondering if she would get accepted to a school. She wondered if her mother and father even thought about her learning magic as they had when they were her age. She didn’t question them for she wanted their decision to be a surprise, if it really was their decision at all. Thoughts ran through her mind that it might not even be the decision of the parents, but of the schools whom they took and didn’t take. She had learned, from what the two of them had told her that she would receive a letter with a supply list, and the date of when school would start.
One morning about two months after Solitaire’s eleventh birthday, her letter finally arrived, just as she was beginning to think that she would have to attend a school that didn’t teach magic, if there were such a place. She was eating breakfast when an owl flew through the kitchen window and landed right in front of her. Solitaire had anxiously been awaiting the owl, and was happy to see it. Taking the letter from the owl, she pushed what little bacon was left on her plate toward the bird, and turned her attention back to the letter. She waited on opening the letter until one of her parents could be right beside her. Getting her mother’s attention, she was glad that her mother was close to her. That meant that she could quickly read the letter. As she turned it over, her mother noticed and pointed out that it was the seal of her old school Hogwarts. Taire got that much more excited about the school, and the letter. She opened it to find her list of school supplies, and discovered that it was stuff that she couldn’t get the stuff in the near by muggle town. She asked her mother where they would get the things on her list, her mother replied simply with “Diagon Alley.” Taire wondered what that was, for she had usually stayed with her nanny when her parents went anywhere, but with her needing robes, she would have to go to. She anxiously awaited her trip into Diagon Alley, and then on to Hogwarts, with hope that she would be placed into the same house as the rest of her family.
Solitaire loved Diagon Alley when she got there, she couldn’t believe the different types of wizards and witches that were there. Her mother and father even pointed out a few who appeared to be muggles, but their children were buying robes. Her mother replied that it was disgusting that they were still letting mud-bloods into the halls of Hogwarts. Taire wondered what that word had meant, and her mother explained that it was a person of non magical descent. She asked why her mother had called them that, and her mother again explained that it was an impolite name for them, used by people who didn’t think it was fair that they be allowed to learn magic because they were not pure. Taire didn’t understand this, and her mother went on to explain that Taire’s grandmother placed high values on the purity of one’s bloodline, although Arcadia and Vitalus had both agreed that there was nothing that could be done, so why worry about it. Arcadia told Taire that there was nothing wrong with being muggle born, but it was frowned upon quite often. Taire wondered how she would be able to tell if someone was muggle born or not without asking them. She decided at that point that it didn’t matter to her, that the person’s personality was what counted to her, even if it meant trouble in her family which she did understand could happen.
Solitaire and her parents stayed the night in Diagon Alley so that she would be able to leave without having to make another trip back to Diagon Alley. She awoke the next morning with excitement , she couldn’t wait to start her trip into the magical world. She boarded the train to the school with few tears for her parents.
As Solitaire arrived at Hogwarts and began to go through the sorting ceremony, she finally got to see just what her mother had called a “Sorting Hat.” It was exactly as her mother tried to describe it, old and ragged looking. Taire thought it absolutely marvelous. She was too excited to worry about which house she would be placed in, until the hat had been placed on her head. She hoped that she would be placed in the same house as her mother, but as soon as the hat touched her head, it shouted, “Hufflepuff.” Solitaire realized that she had been placed in the same house as her aunt Tigress. That didn’t make it so horrible, at least she hadn’t been the first to be placed in a house where none of her family had ever been.
She spent her time at school learning as much as possible, but also alone. She wasn’t well at making friends, and had only made one friend just before the sorting. Her summers home were spent mainly running in to the muggle town near her to see her nanny, whom her parents rarely used anymore. Taire was allowed to make these trips alone, for the town was within walking distance of their house. She discovered another passion while in the town, that would cheer her up no matter how saddened she had gotten. The muggle town tended to have a group of teenagers that held car races on the weekends and during the summer. Taire loved the sounds and the loudness of the cars, and had become quite accustom of telling her parents that she was going into the small town to visit her nanny, and would actually sneak off to a car race somewhere. She eventually began to want to drive the cars, and learned what made them work and how they operated properly. She quickly became friends with one of the drivers, who didn’t seem like he was much older than she. She never told her parents of this secret passion, and when the three would go into the town together, if she ran into her friend she would just act like they had just met, and only smile at him. She just enjoyed it during her breaks from school.
Taire has completed her fourth year, and made two more friends. She has also began her first crush, but is unsure if the flirtatious boy likes her the same way.She herself has also became somewhat of a flirt, but only when her crush is around. She doesn’t realize that she is acting that way, but it just happens.
Summer has come, and as always Taire can be found sneaking out of her parents home and into the muggle village. On now more than one occasion she has been caught while competing in her favorite muggle sport, car racing. She has even already won her first race. A victory she happily shared with her crush. She was in shock to know that he had seen her win, but thrilled afterward.
Taire's fifth year went by quickly, she shared her apartment with her friends anytime they needed and escape from their worlds, and even offered rooms as a permanat residence to them. Taire's world was growing and growing fast. She had the nerve to tell Darien how she felt about him, but couldn't for fear that he didn't feel the same way and that it would ruin the perfect relationship that they already had. After many times of Nadine picking on her about her severe crush on Darien, Solitaire finally told Darien how she felt about him just as they were on the train leaving Hogwarts for the summer between fifth and sixth year.
Solitaire spent sixth year with Darien and Nadine both, not letting her relationship with Darien, which had grown to be more than just friendship over the summer, effect the time that she was able to spend with her best friend. She worked on her racing still, not willing just yet to give it up. She didn't race as much through her summer but wasn't ready to just totally stop doing it as it was a part of who she was. Summer of her sixth year, Taire, in the middle of a race around the new track that her father had donated money to build in her village, had a severe accident. Loosing control of her car due to a broken piece caused her to flip the car several times. The accident temporarily paralyzed Solitaire on her right side. Luckily for Solitaire she had friends and family that were more than willing to take care of her and help her get back to herself.

Name: Darien Raymond Fletcher Blood: Pureblood Age: Year: Graduate House: Gryffindor Pet: owl Wand: 10 inches, dragon’s heartstring, pine
Physical Description: Dare has short-cropped sandy-coloured hair that always seems to be sticking up, hazelish-greenish eye – he never really tends to gaze in the mirror for overly long and a nicely fit body. A Death Eater attack made him loose the smallest finger on his right hand.
Biography: Dare is the 2nd child of a family of 4. His father owns a traveling company for magical folks and her mother works as a journalist. His older sister is already out of Hogwarts and working as an assistant to a Potion’s Master, while Dare’s younger brother and sister aren’t old enough to be in Hogwarts yet. Dare himself is planning to pursue a career as an auror but while at Hogwarts, he enjoys the life there fully. Especially the girls there. Dare takes almost pride in having a personal nickname for every girl he meets in his life and he is yet to meet a girl who wouldn’t warm up to him after on point. Dare himself is a fun guy to be around, always humming something to himself or flattering some girl. The epitome of someone who doesn’t seem to have a care in the world. That’s hardly the case, but Dare doesn’t believe in sharing his secrets with just anyone. Even most of his family doesn’t know a lot about what has gone on in his past and he prefers it that way, because everyone should judge over him as he is after all. That doesn’t mean Dare any less stubborn however. He’s hotheaded, rash and almost spitefully wanting something and doing most anything to get what he wants. Being denied only makes him try all the more.

Name: Nadine Kerry Whitaker Blood: Half-blood Age: 19 Year: Graduate House: Gryffindor Wand: Hickory, unicorn hair, 9 inch. Pets: None.
Appearance: Auburn hair that sometimes lightens to blonde in the sun. Light brown eyes, shadowed by wariness. Pale skin during winter, because her summer tan never stays through the winter. A hat is usually settled on top of her head, often tilted to shadow her face.
Biography (Include information about the characters history, family, personality and hobbies):
A Gryffindor in name only; a phrase that many of Nadine’s housemates have used to disown her. The reason behind these harsh words? Nadine is...quirky. With an inventor father, a dead mother and two younger siblings trying to drive her crazy, who wouldn't be? Now, the history behind the quirkiness.
Ian Whitaker, a muggle inventor, had known Opalis Hautore for most of his life. From a young age, they played together, shared secrets and, at the age of eighteen, swore love to each other despite Ian often wondering why Opalis always seemed to be so very different to him. The easy explanation was that she attended boarding school in Scotland and he had never left home for more than a week. Opalis, of course, could hardly tell him that she was a witch attending Hogwarts in the house of Hufflepuff. The Ministry would never let her, and he wouldn't believe her. She graduated from Hogwarts with all the requirements needed to be an auror and prepared to start a new life as one of the defenders of the wizarding world. Her plans were disrupted by the proposal from Ian - who, incidentally, had spent a year pondering the best way to get Opalis to agree to marry him. Gadgets had been invented and then blown up in his face; speeches had been written and then discarded; a blimp had been hired and then returned weeks before Opalis returned home.
Opalis, knowing that, no matter what, she loved this man - even if he was a muggle - accepted the proposal and persuaded her family to help her persuade her husband to accept that magic was real, that she possessed magic and any children might possibly be gifted with it too. Shocking everyone, Ian’s eyes lit up and he instantly started to question her and her family, eager to see if he could use this knowledge to improve his own inventions. The novelty of a witch for a wife wore off after about a year, leaving a happy home; Opalis content in her auror duties and Ian content with the excitement of his inventions blowing up more often than not.
Ten years passed and it seemed like the couple would never have children. The pureblooded Hautore line looked like it would end with Opalis - which it would anyway, even if she bore children, since she had married a muggle. But her parents still retained hope that one day their daughter would have a baby girl, whom they could raise to marry a pureblood wizard and so rid their line of the impurities that Opalis had forced by marrying a muggle. Their wish was answered three times over the next five years, twice with girls and once with a boy.
Nadine, the eldest of the three children, is the only one who can remember the days after Opalis' death, killed in her auror duties. Her grandparents tried to gain custody of the three children but Ian, ripped from his grief by the threat to his family life, fought to keep them, declaring that Nadine, Ryann and Tyler were the only reasons he had to exist now that his wife was dead. The three children remained with their father and Nadine took on the responsibilities of being there for her younger brother and sister. That only stopped when she had to leave for Hogwarts, but even then she still wrote to her family daily, describing the wonders of the castle to them eagerly. What she hid from them, was that the majority of her housemates completely ignored her, declaring her to be too odd or too quirky for them to associate with. This treatment damaged her self-esteem greatly, which led to her roaming the corridors rather than return to the Gryffindor common room and be ridiculed for her odd dress sense or weird sense of humour.
Nadine’s best friend has, for years, been Taire Keighley and when Taire started dating Darien during their sixth year, Nadine found herself both jealous of her friend and happy for her. Not jealous because she liked Darien – rather, Nadine has never really warmed up to him but tolerates him because he makes her best friend happy – but because he was monopolizing her friend’s time. Not wishing to intrude on their happiness, Nadine preferred to spend the majority of her last two years in Hogwarts with a fellow Gryffindor, Jackson Collins. He infuriated her and annoyed her and had often been the reason behind her many detentions due to fighting in the corridors but he had always been there for her when she needed someone, even when she didn’t realise it. They grew closer and, without either of them really noticing, their relationship shifted from platonic to romantic as they started dating halfway through their sixth year.
Everything seemed to fall into place. Jackson’s adopted father was her godfather, her grandparents adored him and she no longer resented Darien for dating her best friend. She had achieved her ambition of opening a scent store and had shops in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. But nothing good lasts forever, as Nadine found out less than a year after Jackson proposed to her. They started arguing more often and stopped forgiving each other for even the smallest offences. It was clear that they had somehow fallen apart and the break-up was mutual but they didn’t part on good terms, with Nadine throwing the engagement ring at his feet and both of them yelling and screaming at each other. It hurt somewhat that Jackson would move back to Japan with his cousins just to avoid seeing her every day but Nadine never told anyone the details of their break-up, not even Taire. It was a private matter and both she and Jackson had been at fault; she didn’t want anyone misunderstanding or blaming Jackson for it just to make her feel better. Because, despite the bad ending to what she had thought was her ideal relationship, they had loved each other even if, in the end, it hadn’t been enough.
