Anna was sitting in a corner, she was reading her favorite book , Demonata, she has read it over a thousand times. It was a series about Demons and children, about a boy who was able to see lights, and werewolves and chess. Now Anna hated to play chess, but her father always told her, chess makes the mind grow faster, so every night while she was at home, her mom, her and her older brother, would all play chess, her against her brother, Mum against Dad. It was there weekend routine or daily mainly.
But the book she was reading about had nothing to do with chess. No it was more, about alot more. It was about savage beasts of the underworld, that tortured for the fun. Who thrived on pain, and had take pleasure in seeing others weep. She loved the story, she love it. It frightened her to pieces but she loved it.
She was already on the second book, she has read the series often. The book she was now on was called Demon Thief, her favorite one it was. She flipped through the pages like a raise horse. Her eyes changed colors with the different moods of the story along with her face appearance as well. She would change form one character to another in her mind. Her favorite character was the boy in the book. His name was Kernel Fleck, and he was out looking for his lost Brother Art; who was kidnapped by Lord Loss. So Shark and Dervish had decided to help Kernel even though he is nine and they are sixteen, fifteen.
She was now in the mood of Lord Loss himself, she imagined she had, had red skin and there were cracks in her face that seeped out blood, and she was bald and had two gaping black holes for eyes., and anytime she moved blood dripped down. She then quickly imagined into Vein. One of the demons minions. She had short scraggly black hair, and rotted sharp death with red crimson eyes, she was in a black dress, and had black and white tatted striped tights. She was in little black shoes. Her skin was a rotting form of blue as well with cuts and scrapes every wear. She then imagined Kernel. Who was a boy about the age of nine, in dirt cloths and was bald. She then imagined looking like the form of vein and switched on and off from Lord Loss to Vein.
She did that, when she read without even knowing, that is why she always read at night away from people. She slowly entranced herself into the book and literally became those characters. In her mind.
